sea the view in malibu.

Happy Tuesday! I am still struggling to get back into the swing of things this week, and  to leave the weekend behind! I took a day trip to Malibu on Sunday with a few girlfriends and hiked Point Dume, then we treated ourselves to a wonderful brunch at Moonshadows. I had a yummy heirloom tomato & burrata cheese dish that sounds simply amazing at the moment. Here are some pictures from my getaway ::

never have i seen so many beautiful flowers. and mailboxes!
Malibu is the perfect spot for a day trip. Since it is only 30 minutes away from Santa Monica, it is close enough to plan a last minute adventure, but far enough to enjoy your cup of coffee and JT's 20/20 experience :) Let me know if you want to join next time! xx

weekend wishes.

Happy Friday! Are y'all looking for plans for this wonderful weekend? Well you have come to the right place. The future forecast is looking bright & sunny in LA, so make sure to pack those ray bans where ever you travel to these next hot few days! (Sorry to all my friends in different parts of the country/world, wish you could spend my birthday weekend with me in LaLaLand!) Here are some ideas for ya.

*Go on a hike! Get up early Saturday morning, drag your roommate or pup out of bed, and travel the trails of your choice. Whether it is Runyon Canyon, Fryman Canyon, or the good ol' Hollywood Hike, make sure to stay hydrated and keep those eyes protected. The earlier, the better, since it is supposed to reach 83 in certain parts of Los Angeles.

**Stop by the Etsy Pop-Up at West Elm Saturday afternoon. Are you guys as big of Etsy lovers as I am? I can't seem to drop by the site without wanting everything humanly possible and more. Whether it is a painted canvas I do not need for my room, or something monogramed to add to the collection, my heart is so so full when I am on the website. Since it is hosted by stylist Emily Henderson, we know it's gotta be good. Check out the participating Etsy sellers here: http://blog.westelm.com/2013/02/06/etsy-pop-up-at-west-elm-los-angeles-curated-by-emily-henderson/

***Hit up the Melrose Trading Post on Sunday for trinkets galore. Located at the Fairfax High School on Melrose, this flea market is not messin' around. Their vendors carry anything from refurbished wooden furniture, old vinyls, vintage clothing, bomb jewelry, and anything in between. It is also a golden place to people watch/celeb stalk while you're at it. You will find anyone from the girls from Pretty Little Liars, to the homeless men who reside on the outdoor picnic tables nearby. Remember to bring $2 to enter, and most venders are cash only so make a trip to an ATM beforehand.
